Would this be a d/b of all tailless dogs? Wherever they are, in the club or out?

I think it's only a data base of those dogs that the owners gave Annie
the details of. She put a request for information in the newsletter and had a very poor response.....mind you, some of the dogs would have only had the tip of the tail missing which could have been overlooked when they were docked.

Which of your personalities didn't realise that the other had already made that post

I've deleted Jan's duplicate post - she probably pressed the button twice when it was slow to go the first time.I didn't get a very good repsonse as Jan said but managed to work out others that had to be tail-less from teh info I received. There were various complcations such as one lady told me her bitch was tail-less(breeder had told her) but the breeder denied it. I was then able to check other records and found some of that litter were tail-less so her bithc might have been too. As Jan rightly says, because of docking and because the gene causes slightly shorter than normal tails as well as no tail, bob-tail or short tail, some people may not know they have tail-less dogs. To be honest it is purely a historical record I have but it is the only thing we have eo go on meantime - I had hoped to publish the list in the newsletter but with this house coming on the market when it did I haven't got round to it yet. Probably in Christmas one. Now off out, as it's a beautiful day here.

Jan didn't realise that the blasted edit button wasn't working AGAIN and pressed the quote button instead....then Jan couldn't get rid of the second post because...... And, Jan might tell you, she is getting just a little bit peed off when the edit button does a runner
PS Just in case no-one has noticed, Jan is usually right

Thanks Anne...
I look forward to that newsletter then. Be very interesting to see the dogs behind the tailless. As Jan does not " get me" I mean dogs 's ancestors in pedigrees. I love studying them( the pedigrees) and seeing any dog of particular interest in a line...or not
