Tegen's going bonkersWe've not long got back from walking Tegen and Remi along a local dyke.
Tegen is going loopy chewing her paws and scrabbling at the floor bedding or settee. She seemed ok during the walk and in the car on the way home but started within minutes of getting home.
Any ideas?

Possibly stinging nettles. Make a strong brew of black tea, leave it to cool, then bathe her paws in it. This works for my lot, we also use it as an eye wash.

Thanks Lin
I did wonder about nettles but things often seem to turn out more complicated than I anticipate. Thanks for the tea suggestion

Not got any dock leaves in your garden? Just squish them in your hands and rub the juices onto the paws. They usually grow close together.

That's what we used to do as kids. They do usually grow close, but if walking a bit away from home, by the time you know it's a nettle sting you can be away from the area.
Thinking about it, there are nettles, but no docks, (not any I've seen) at our stomping ground, (which is managed by the council). Could this have something to do with "selective" herbicides
