Thame ShowYesterday Mugi, Chase and I descended on Thame Open Show. No Breed Classes but I thought it might be a good start for Chase - it would have been if the rain had been kinder!!!!!!!!!!
I had entered little one in Novice AVNSC - he got VHC and was top placed puppy!! He also beat a couple of adult dogs so I was very happy with my little one.
Minor Puppy Stakes was hard as we had to go inside and the crane flies were just too much temptation. The judge was giving lots of handling tips, thought Chase was a nice pup and gave us a third despite a pup trying to catch all the flying beasts.
Mugi was a true star bless him. He was entered in AV Veteran - 10 dogs stuck it out to the end and all were seasoned campaigners including one who had won a BOB at Crufts. My lad did his best showing ever and was placed Reserve. I was amazed when we were pulled out in front of some really nice looking dogs who were handled with much more skill than I possess.
A nice day marred by the rain.
