The Demon's first Show

Today was Merlin's first show and he did very well considering he was in variety classes with dogs almost 12 months old. I put him in the two AV classes for gundogs and he got 2nd place in both. Judge was Mrs.C.Muirhead [Shipden]

AVNSC Gundog Puppy 2nd from 5 dogs
AV Gundog Puppy 2nd from 4 dogs

In both classes it was the same WSS [ 11 months old] that took first prize.

Well that's me scuppered for a few weeks
Fell over gate climbing into stubble field next door, slipped on algae on gate, me on deck screaming in pain, and almost passing out, Allez in next field. Good little soul sat down, and stayed there while I phoned for help - thank goodness i had my mobile.
My pal Sue drove round to Davie's farm, into the field, and took me to Aberdeen A & E. Now typing one handed and one fingered with the other in a sling - broken collar bone. So won't be reporting any progress for a while. Will lurk meantime

Looking forward to seeing the demon next weekend - he did well as he was giving away almost 6 months.

Hope the shoulder mends fast Anne - it isn't until you do something like that you realise how much you use it all the time!

Mugi

Well done to Jan and Merlin. Chases second show was a disaster, all Brittanys bored to death by the time we got in the ring so little one just careered around on springs, would not be handled and was so hard to handle - mind you it was cold so I wsa warm and flustered by the time we got out of the ring Embarassed . Mugi came home with nothing much but he learned more and was giving the other dogs in the ring about 8 years so I had only taken him for 'ringcraft'.

Annie sorry to hear about your accident, hope it is more comfortable soon.
