Vets

The biggest expenditure for rescue comes from vets' bills and, as we all know, there is a large variation in these. We have been fortunate to secure an agreement with another organistaion who will neuter at no cost to the club, but often the reasons for our friends coming into rescue are medical. Our own vets: AlphaPet Vets (no apologies for the plug because they are great), to whom we are very grateful, seem to always come in cheaper than others and it would be useful to build a database of friendly vets.

Please use this forum to recommend and submit details of vets that you know and trust in your area so that the club can continue to support those in need. The alternative, if bills overtake funds, doesn't bear contemplating.

My vet at Hardwick near Cambridge is great and he has offered to do things a little cheaper for rescue.

vets and rescue dogs

Well, we don't seem to get many on rescue on Scotland, but for what it's worth our vet here in Aberdeenshire would have done Clover's ops for half the price!

They are also VERY compassionate. I just took my 5 month old heart problem pup to be put down and they were very very sympathetic, made both him and me feel very relaxed and safe. I have been with them now for 12 years and couldn't wish for better.
