I have decided. I just want cuddles from him. He is my cuddly wuddly woo and I'm fed up of this training lark. It's too much like hard work, and too b- - -d y cold!

Here - Here ! I just couldn't let that cuddly wuddly poo stuff go by !
I can hardly believe what I'm reading here ! That stuff really made me cringe !
Blind retrieves -if your dog at pushing 3 years old won't stay when and where its told then tie it to a tree or a fence post. Go around a corner from it and place the blind. Why are you even thinking of doing blinds with Allez yet ? He is not yet dependable on a simple mark that he is allowed to run in on . Marks and memories are all he needs at present - but he must do them when you say so - not just when it comes up his hump !
He is using you, taking you for a right sap. If you leave allez 'til next summer you will be starting to say he's too old to learn.
Get on with it - now !

He never went away.............he's been LURKING
Heaven help us if it takes a silly post like that to get him back

If he doesn't start talking to us again there will be more silly posts I've told him before we need his expertise on here.

Why...you don't do what he tells you anyway
|
doganjo
|
Yes I do - who told you I don't

Winnie the Pooh - 'finding the north pole' comes to mind.
|

|
Don't know it - what on earth are you talking about
|

The gist of the story is Winnie and the rest of them go looking for the North Pole. Roo gets into trouble and several help in a variety of ways as fits their personae. Winnie finds a suitable 'pole' to save Roo. On closer inspection it is found he has found the North Pole.
Moral - you have the answer you need already to hand - you just have to recognise it.
Why did i put that here? because Bill isn't the solution to our training problems - we are. Not that i don't wish Bill to contribute I do - (if you are reading this Bill) his anecdotes are very enlightening. But Bill cannot train our dogs for us.
Another thought
You cannot plough a field by turning it over in your mind.

Sorry, I'd meant to respond sooner but I had a bit of trouble with a total plonker on another forum.
I call myself by another name there and hadn't visited for a while, when I got back some stupid person had put in some absolute rubbish so I posted back in to disagree with myself !

Annie it was you that told us that you don't get time to do as Bill tells you............a list
I have nowhere to go and train
When I move I will go to training classes
When I move I am going to do a weeks training with Steve Kimberley
My dog won't look at me
My dog won't stop on the whistle
etc, etc, etc
These are only some of the ones that you have said to me so there must be loads more

Oh goodie - handbags at dawn !
I am being dragged out to show Dale a good time at the moment but I can't think of anywhere with rabbits. Her being on holiday is a pest, I'm running out of places to take her that the dogs would like.
Ain't life a bitch.

You will note these are from last year and earlier this year before I moved down to Clacks, where I have so many more activities and friends than before.
Corrections to the above
I have places to train
I have been to training classes
Steve Kimberley is too expensive - I have run out of money
My dog looks at me
My dog stops on the whistle - most of the time.
I don't/can't afford to send my dogs away to be trained (until I win the lottery or Christmas comes again)
Sorry for highjacking Chase's place again, Sue, not really my fault.

Don't the dogs like the pub then??

The dogs love the pub but so far I have failed to teach 'em to buy a round.
My apologies Sue, when I get time I'll start another topic or whatever you call it. My day ,by the way, did improve. Dale decided she'd rather go shopping than rabbit hunting Strange things these wummin !
