You can get there...............

Ok, so the main topic header is "Help for the less experinced on moving and standing their dog in the ring"

After today I can add one top tip - persevere!!

As many of you know I have had many many problems with himself both standing and moving. Today he was fabby - he stood pretty well, almost in a free stand and his movement was not fighting me. For 80% of the time I felt his movement was OK bordering on good, for 10% he was great and the other 10% was hard work cos the PA went off and annoyed him. I decided he wasn't winning that battle so I just kept returning to my start point until he got it as I wanted.

So my tip from today is keep at it, as you get more experienced yourself you will relax more and take control of the situation. I didn't get flustered (as I so often have) I just kept at him till I was happy.

I will also boast that he loose lead walked all the way in and all the way back to the car on a short slip lead - it was a really nice experience not having a lunging brat on a bungee!!
