John Anderson is best bet for this - Barbara is a forum Member, maybe she can ask him?

To become a 'B' panel HPR judge one has to have judged for a minimum period of three calendar years, a minimum of four Stakes with at least four different ‘A’ Panel judges.

You have to be nominated by a club licenced to hold Open Stakes.

You have to successfully complete the KC training event and exam for Field Trial Judges.

In deciding to affirm your position as a 'B' panel judge the KC will take note of all the 'A' panel judges comments for the previous five years
Judging experience must include Stakes judged at Trials held by at least two different Societies and opinions must be
available from at least four different ‘A’ Panel Co-Judges.
Before being added to the Panel,
candidates for the ‘B’ Panel must have handled a dog to win at least one Field Trial Stake and have considerable Field Trial experience.

To progress to 'A' panel at least three years experience as a 'B' panel judge must be had; judging a minimum of six Stakes of which at least
one must have been Open; under at least five different ‘A’ Panel Judges.

Candidates for the ‘A’ Panel must have handled a dog to win at least one Open Stake at a Field Trial for the appropriate sub-group, and have extensive Field Trial experience since being appointed to the ‘B’
Panel.

Didn't we have a trial today?  Any Brits running - any results in yet?  Can put it in Breed notes due to go off tonight.  Anyone got anything else for them?  My crystal ball has rolled away and I haven't perfected mind reading as yet. Wink  Laughing  Laughing  Laughing  Laughing  Laughing

Well hopefully see you at the N&S next week...We haven't heard anything either.
Good luck with Ruby too, I heard all about her through Lester!
Not easy that game of trialling!! Wink But the more you go, the better and it is good experince for dog and handler.
Guy, I did not know about the winning of a stake for the panel judges. Considerable experience...how long is that?
I guess then that judges must be quite successful with their dogs before going on to judge...

It is having people who understand and appreciate the different styles of the different breeds that I find more important, don't you think?

Nice one Pat. I Know Lester was  about as gutted as I was. I kept up with her next time out though with N/S but the guns let me down by missing the bird.
