Sophie has kindly provided the info on Bes background, so I've put together a rough pedigree to share

It is a good pedigree and I know some of the dogs involved as I imported Spot De Keranlouan, bred Patouche Monseigneur( belongs now to Bill Dillon in the US, himself a son of my Gallo de St Thurial and Ivry de Keranlouan, -dam to Lorca too- ).
I met Starky and told David to hang on to Lou ( Louise)!
What saddens me though is people get shot of such young dogs with...the rubbish...And he is not. Shame on them, they don't deserve a dog never mind one like that.
Believe me Lynn, I am not laughing when I see such dogs ending up as rehome cases or in rescue.
It makes my blood boil, only wish owners or breeders who get rid of their dogs for £250 or less or sell them to just anybody would be in a little black book.
Starky is by the famous Indy de St Lubin, David has imported some good French dogs- from the really well known Domionique Pozo who is very sucessful...-and that is what happens to their descendants.
For pity's sake, go and leave the Brittany alone!
Patricia, I only meant you would be smiling to recognise the names and the potential that comes with them. We are all saddened to know of a dog that has been rejected.
Thankfully, this boy has landed on his feet (Very lucky to have been taken on by John, Edna and Hayley.) _________________ Lin, owned by Rudi and Copper the Brittanys & Zac the Springer.
I'm just glad that the last owners (the couple in their 70s) had the sense to contact Margaret, rather than just passing him on again to another unsuitable home. _________________ My goal in life is to be as good a person as my dog already thinks I am.
I'm just glad that he found you three Is see he has his full name already - another Magic Dog! Lots of famous French kennel names in there. _________________ Annie

Still waiting for the paperwork back from the KC but there shouldn't be any problems I hope _________________ My goal in life is to be as good a person as my dog already thinks I am.
Who on earth would sell a dog to someone in their 70's? Considering a Brittany can live well over 14 years of age> No insult intended here.
I know many people can still be very active still but...will they still be a good 10 years later????
I look forward to seeing Ben.
To be fair the breeder sold the pup to a young couple (I don't know if they were asked any questions or if he was just after a quick sale though). Within a couple of months they had split up and Ben was (I think left with the woman, who didn't have time to care for him) She passed him on to the elderly couple, who she knew and who had always had dogs until a couple of years ago.
they soon realised that a six month old Brittany was too much and IMHO did the right thing in contacting the Brittany Club for help.
