Winnie the Pooh - 'finding the north pole' comes to mind.

The gist of the story is Winnie and the rest of them go looking for the North Pole.  Roo gets into trouble and several help in a variety of ways as fits their personae.  Winnie finds a suitable 'pole' to save Roo.  On closer inspection it is found he has found the North Pole.
Moral - you have the answer you need already to hand - you just have to recognise it.

Why did i put that here?  because Bill isn't the solution to our training problems - we are.  Not that i don't wish Bill to contribute I do - (if you are reading this Bill)  his anecdotes are very enlightening.  But Bill cannot train our dogs for us.

Another thought
You cannot plough a field by turning it over in your mind.

Sorry, I'd meant to respond sooner but I had a bit of trouble with a total plonker on another forum.
I call myself by another name there and hadn't visited for a while, when I got back some stupid person had put in some absolute rubbish so I posted back in to disagree with myself ! Razz

Oh goodie - handbags at dawn ! Laughing

I am being dragged out to show Dale a good time at the moment but I can't think of anywhere with rabbits. Her being on holiday is a pest, I'm running out of places to take her that the dogs would like.

Ain't life a bitch. Sad

Bill

You will note these are from last year and earlier this year before I moved down to Clacks, where I have so many more activities and friends  than before.

Corrections to the above

I have places to train
I have been to training classes
Steve Kimberley is too expensive - I have run out of money
My dog looks at me
My dog stops on the whistle - most of the time.
I don't/can't afford to send my dogs away to be trained (until I win the lottery or Christmas comes again)

Sorry for highjacking Chase's place again, Sue, not really my fault.

The dogs love the pub but so far I have failed to teach 'em to buy a round. Sad

My apologies Sue, when I get time I'll start another topic or whatever you call it. My day ,by the way, did improve. Dale decided she'd rather go shopping than rabbit hunting  Shocked  Strange things these wummin !
