You must go to a Super Speciale in France to see some excellent specimens. as well as less good. One of the judges was nicely suprised by the overall quality of the UK dogs thiniking they might have looked like" goats"!!!

I don't understand why anyone would think our dogs might look like goats.  I actually think that we have a very good selection in the UK of dogs as good as some of those I have seen in France.(and in many cases, better) Rolling Eyes

The population in France of Bretons is huge. It is therefore bound that many are very average, just like the numbers of labs we get here for instance. All sorts...
I guess this judge may have thought we also have an American influence -not knowing where our dogs descend from- hence the " Goats".
The Nationale is the point of reunion for all Brittany lovers whatever the quality. However I have seen some Specimens who are so good in France love2  it gives me goose pimples Laughing Those really good ones cannot not be matched in many places. I hear Greece has beautiful dogs too.
Good id different to the " whao" factor, I want that dog Exclamation

Personally,  think we have a few 'stunners' here too.  After all, if they weren't good enough to be Champions you couldn't award CCs to them, could you?  Mind you I haven't judged since I did Crufts in 2007 - I hope the quality hasn't declined....................................... Wink  Laughing
