The ground was superb, perhaps not ideally suited to Brittanys at this time of the year with the depth of cover afforded by the bracken in several places.
It would be December/January when the bracken has been hit by a few frosts! I couldn't even see a Munsterlander! Some dogs did get nice ground but we were unlucky enough to get two runs in thigh high bracken where you couldn't see a thing. Had a really lovely retrieve but no points. A third run was in some reedy grass but was blank. _________________ karen
