That's the same problem I have with my house insurance!  I don't think I have the gall to claim another £2800 off them!  Will just have to bite the bullet. Bang goes next year's holidays and shows!

If I were you I'd go to the bookies and place a bet that you're going to have a flood or drainage problems.
They're more likely to pay out than insurers.

I'm tempted to change Ben's name to thermometer. " 'Ere Ben" doesn't seem to have any effect.  Maybe I'll have more luck with "ear thermometer"

Back to the original thread.
Earlier on this year l needed a new thermometer (whelping etc) and l tried all the local chemists, the assistant in Boots said they did not sell them anymore because of the glass and the mercury, he said we do digital ones ( l had looked at them and they were expencive) l told him what l was going to use it for and was not willing to pay that much to stick it where it had to go.
Having thought about it l deceided it would be a definite no for 3 reasons, well 4 if you count cost.
1) They are rather large and would cause quite a bit of discomfort.
2) Considering where they are going, they looked difficult to sterilize.
3) We have one and when it reaches temperature it makes a very high pitched beebing noise, don't think Ruby would have thought much to a beebing noise out of her bum not very dignified, bad enough having to have your temperature taken like that. Embarassed
