Or even a Britt-Bag!!

I was going to register a Cavalier as Sultair the Flying Fig and do agility with her. Or Sultair the Juicy Lemon, then I thought that might get me into trouble if the dog lived up to it's name. Very Happy

My vet insists on calling them Brittany Spaniels!!!

I found it rather strange that some on-line insurers list both Brittany and Brittany Spaniel as choices when selecting the breed of dog to be insured Confused

Yes, I noticed that too.  We know there are two different breeds, but I wouldn't expect Insurance companies to know Wink

What I fail to understand is, why some breeds are listed under the name used in their country/region of origin and others are translated into English or
renamed. Why couldn't the Kennel Club list the breed as Epagneul Breton. Even I could learn to pronounce the name in time.
