Yes, that's what we've read over here too. I have a feeling I saw other reasons too - can't remember where. Something to do with Greek Mythology and Diana the Huntress I think. I certainly have never heard of the previous theory you mentioned about one puppy born short tailed being so much in demand that the breeder cut the others off. That seems a bit far fetched to me. Any idea where we could find out more theories? - it's quite interesting I think.
