Thank you so much, Lin. I cannot take credit for the photo...her breeder took them...I hear her uncle (John's Moss) did very well recently...yahoooo!!! _________________ "...amitie, respect mutuel et amour..."
Funny how things go round the world!
I had a call from Jamie ( who bred Dionnee's mother)and Moss..who had heard...from New Zealand that I had lost their grand father, Lorca.
He called to say he was sorry...I miss Jamie being around ( as he moved the other side of the country in Devon) as he he and Pauline were great fun and my memories of that goose shooting morning will stay with me forever. I could hardly believe Solo and Lorca hauling those great big birds on the Norfolk marshes early morning at 4 am..
I believe Tony may be coming to the UK?
I must admit feeling a tad sad at those geese coming over from the water to feed on land. And getting shot with no lead ( as it is forbidden) and having difficulty in hitting them dead without wounding. Alan shot a duck too with the recommended cartridges and had to look for it injured and having flown a long way...to die slowly no doubt.
Geese have a strong community " spirit" and when injured will " carry" their friend in their flight position...Or so I am told...
I did not enjoy the goose shoot as much as pheasant, must say...
Thank you, Lin! I have a Fuji S5600 and going by the foto when we were after hare, you cannot tell that there was a light drizzle going on when I took it! I am getting better at this dog photography, suffice to say, to get these two, I would have taken about thirty!!!!! _________________ "...amitie, respect mutuel et amour..."
John, I have heard that she has an uncle in Ireland doing very well in the trials...do you know anything of him? _________________ "...amitie, respect mutuel et amour..."
