Years ago, I got a large cut-out picture of a Border Collie (advertising dog biscuits - the dog is sitting infront of a full bowl). When it was placed indoors at the end of the hall, one of my Border Collie bitches barked at it. Years later, the same cut-out is in the garage on the wall by where the dog biscuits are stored. When Spice saw it for the first time, she barked too. When it was Sophie's turn, she went nuts with her hackles up and barking.
It is obviously a good picture as they all think either the dog or the bikkies are real! _________________ Home of the canine "Spice Girls" - Spice, Sophie & Kip - and Lou the sheepdog.
I may be absent in mind and body but always addicted to man's best friend.
A dog doesn't care how much you know until he knows how much you care.
Our nextdoor neighbour has noticed that new dog, Copper, never barks at him, but the other two do But when Andy unloaded his golf cart from his car and left it on his drive, Copper very bravely saw off this alien intruder with a very low oohwoof noise _________________ Lin, owned by Rudi and Copper the Brittanys & Zac the Springer.
When returning from our walk the other day an ambulance wizzed by sirens blazing ... Cedar joined in ..... screeching like the ambulance just at the right pitch too!
Ryan and I couldn''t believe our ears and even Gunner looked bemused. I'm convinced she'll talk back to me one day!!!!
Ghill has this thing for the noise ice-cream vans make.......if she hears one she lies on her side and goes whoooo, whoooo, whoooo just like a little damp train going through a tunnel First time she did it I thought she was in pain but as soon as the music stopped she got up and walked away I've come to the conclusion that Brittanys are mad, almost as mad as their owners _________________ Jan

PHEW!!!!!!! it's not just Cedar then! I was begining to think I was going mad ... but then again I own a Brittany so I probably already am ... what's that they say about dogs being like their owners?
Don't you mean owners are like their dogs Although I haven't go as far as lying on my side in the middle of the pavement going whoooo, whooooo, whooo [at least not yet, but no doubt the time will come] _________________ Jan

Both my brittany's love to lay in the frog position. All spayed out.
My male gets enjoyment from flopping his whole body on the floor and then rolling onto the floor on his back and wriggling like a worm with his tongue hanging out of his mouth. He loves doing it especially in freshly washed covers. _________________ The Brittany

Merlin has just discovered the delights of lying on our bed. Told off he then pulled the covers from the bed and lay down on them. Mike has just found him up there, on his back, feet in the air sound asleep Ghillie only gets on the bed if Mike is away and I invite her up there
