It is truly brilliant if your dog has the know-how. I got my scooter from Diggler in the USA, but you can get a paw trekker in the uk, it has a rear wheel frame and is safer for road and footpath with your dog. I opted for the Diggler Dirt Dawg as it suited the mountain trails.
My old dog didn't swim until he was about 10 month's.... later he walked allong the riverside on a way that there was no athor change then to "fall inn".......
I jused him to lern an other eb at the age of 5!! to go swimming by making him "hungry" for the dummy....(laura here dog quireste )
now he still like's to swim
my jounger dog "bart" ( aged 2 now) don't like to swim.....and don't like to apport game....but when he must > he wil ( not enthousiatic) do it....
strange'st thing is... dummy's; plastic bottle's; shoes he brings them with great pleasure.....
