There is a what's new page - site feedback - site updates, plus date on front page let's you see last time he changed anything.  He keeps telling me it's a 'smart' website but I'm not sure what he means.  And yes, he is thoroughly enjoying himself!

Can't remember if this has been suggested before but, in light of recent sad losses, how about a "gone but not forgotten" gallery?

Another idea that's just sprung to my underemployed mind, could the names in the breed database be linked to photos (were available)?

Hi Folks,
not often you hear from me on here, but I do poke my head through the door every now and then.

I don't seem to have done anything else recently other than work, sleep or update this site but I'm still smiling  Very Happy
It's smart in the fact that the site knows you are logged in (if you are) and information passes between pages (such as your name and level of access). That way the same page can display different information depending on who is looking at it.
It also means that information from one page (such as the calendar) can be replicated on another page, and it can be filtered to show only the required data (ie the Upcoming Events on the Main Page only shows the Calendar events happening in the next 31 days)

There is the Website Updates page, but granted that is hidden away in the Website Updates Menu Section and not immediately noticeable. Once I move the Updates information onto the database, I can then have a section on the front page showing the last 5 updates, and a link to all the rest.

Easily enough set up, If we get some photo's I can create the Gallery, once it is up, I'm sure more photo's will follow

Again, can be done, I will need to work out a way to store the dogs names against the images, without affecting the original Breed Database that Jayne Cutler maintains (where the online Database gets regular updates from)

Send any images for Breed Db or Departed Gallery to webmaster@brittanyclub.co.uk.
I've just realised/remembered that the link to send images has gone, will add that again to the gallery section

Thanks Donald.  I think the work you are doing on the site is great.  Hopefully we are now getting more hits and more people are finding out about the breed.

We all need to make sure that the site remains up to date by sending info and pictures in and letting donald know if anything is missing or not working

His brother-in-law was totally shocked yesterday when I told him Donald had written the questionnaire because he was bored when he came home from work. "BORED?", he said, "BORED?  Aarghh..........  I don't have time to get bored!"  I think Donald has time to do this after work as Jess lives so far away - if and when she moves up here or he moves down there there will be few website updates I suspect Rolling Eyes  Wink

I met with someone the other day who is thinking of having a Brittany - they were researching them more (wnating to actually meet some etc)  but initially fell love with them having seen some of the pictures of Amber on the yacht in the gallery!
